A Twitter user with the name Ismaeel has spoken about how he was sacked by Amazon because he asked for Friday off for the Sallah celebration.

It should be noted that the young man was just employed by the company and was billed to begin work on Wednesday, July 29.

In a response tweet, the young man said that when he realised that his request did not sit well with the management, he agreed to work the shift.

To his surprise, however, he was told that they have found a replacement for him because he was being a very difficult worker.

The minister of interior Rauf Aregbesola congratulated Muslim faithful and all Nigerians both at home and abroad on the occasion.

He also called on Muslims to continue to embody the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) and to also use the period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country especially as the world is witnessing global health challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
