Machines like the Tassimo only accept capsules from their own brand. Nespresso and Dolce Gusto instead accept capsules from other compatible brands, which can be 44% cheaper than the originals in the case of Nespresso, or 17% in the case of the Dolce Gusto.

What are the best quality capsules?
With such a varied offer, it is difficult to know how to choose the best coffee capsules on the market. For this reason, the OCU has carried out a study analyzing which brands offer the best capsules for this type of coffee maker.
The study has analyzed the quality and market price of 25 types of original coffee capsules that can be used in Nespresso, Dolce Gusto and Tassimo coffee machines. There are both original and compatible with each of the coffee makers.
To determine which are the best coffee capsules, they have analyzed the information on the labeling, the processing of the coffee and possible contaminants. They have also been valued by a group of tasters, who have analyzed factors such as consistency, color, body of coffee, the intensity of its aroma or bitterness.

17.Tassimo Marcilla Expresso
These are one of the two capsules compatible with the Tassimo coffee machine that we found in the ranking of the first 20 best coffee capsules in the OCU study. 16 capsules come in the package and it costs 4.39 euros, one of the highest in the ranking.
16. Nescafé Dolce Gusto Intense Espresso 7
The same happens with the capsules compatible with the Dolce Gusto machine, of which we only found 4 in the first 20 analyzed. Espresso from the original brand cost 4.25 euros and come 16 per container.
15. Nescafé Dolce Gusto Barista
They are followed by the Dolce Gusto Barista capsules, also with 16 capsules and the same price, 4.25 euros.
14. Strong Clay 10
Marcilla for her part offers her own capsules compatible with the Nespresso machine. The package of 10 capsules costs 2.50 euros.
13. Mepiachi I like Intense Espresso. Intensity 8

These capsules compatible with the Nespresso coffee machine are ranked 10th in the OCU ranking. Each container comes with 10 capsules and its price is 2.31 euros.

The white label of Dia supermarkets offers another of the best Nespresso compatible coffee capsules. 10 capsules come in each package and it costs 2.05 euros.
8. Oquendo Ristretto Intensity. Very intense 10
Oquendo coffees offer their own capsule version for use with Nespresso coffee machines. Up to 20 capsules come in this package and can be purchased for 3.93 euros.
