In this new video from Unprofesor we will explain the empire of Carlos V.
Carlos V, was the son of Juana la loca, who in turn was the daughter of the catholic kings. His father, Philip the Beautiful, who, in turn, was the son of Maximilian of Habsburg and Maria of Burgundy. He was born in 1500 and reigned from 1516 to 1558. Always remember that Carlos V is known as Carlos V of Germany, first of Spain. In Germany there had already been 4 Carlos and here, in Spain, he was the first. Likewise, we will know him as Carlos V.
As we have said, he was the son of Juana la loca and Felipe el Hermoso. When he dies, Juana is upset and hers, her father, Fernando el Catolico refuses to let her be queen and confines her in a convent. He (Fernando) took the regency of Spain until in 1516 he was appointed King of Spain Carlos V. He lived in Flanders, leaves it and comes to Spain with an entourage of foreigners. Upon arriving at the Spanish court, he is seen with bad eyes and wakes up certain nets that conclude internal problems. Several revolts and small revolutions that he manages to crush. Surrounding himself also with people from the country, he manages to pacify Spain and establish himself as king.
