History of the Camino de Santiago
In this new video from Unprofesor we will explain the "History of the Camino de Santiago".
History of the Camino de Santiago. The Camino de Santiago is a series of Christian pilgrimage routes of medieval origin that depart from the western Pyrenees to reach Santiago de Compostela where it is believed that; there is the tomb that houses the mortal remains of the apostle James the elder. In fact, it is believed that James the elder was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus of Nazareth and was the first to die martyred. Once dead, his body was transferred to Hispania (to the province of Galatia) and there he was buried. Centuries later, around 820 AD. C that tomb was discovered and a temple was built that, as the centuries passed, was extended to the Cathedral of Compostela as we know it today. In addition, since it was believed that these mortal remains had a certain power of interaction with God, the intersection of the people did God, that is why the Christians decided to make the pilgrimage route to ask favors from the apostle who believes that
he is buried, as we say, in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. To know the subject in more depth, do not miss the complete video on "History of the Camino de Santiago"and practice with the exercises that we leave you next.
