In this new video from Unprofesor we will explain "Causes and consequences of the Pacific War 1937-1945".

Causes and consequences of the War of the Pacific 1937-1945. The War of the Pacific is an armed conflict that pitted Japan against, above all, the United States in the area of Asia and the Pacific Ocean. Why did Japan start this war in 1937? In the 19th century, we have to remember that Japan had already defeated Russia and China in addition to suffering a great advance in terms of industrialization and a great militarization of society. In other words, the military had more power than the government itself. This industrialization meant that many more natural resources were needed than Japan itself, within its borders had, with which they needed new territories to look for raw materials to continue industrializing the country. For that, they needed a territorial expansion (new territories) and that is why they set their eyes on the Asian zone; both on the mainland (Russia and China) and on all the Pacific islands (Malaysia, Indochina, Borneo ...) they even thought of Australia.
