+30 famous INVENTORS and their inventions
One of the most important figures in the history of mankind is that of inventors, being scientific geniuses who manage to create something that did not exist before, being these inventors who allow us to advance as a society and without whom we would not live as we do today. To know an example of this kind of people in this lesson from a Teacher we must talk about famous inventors and their inventions.
We are not aware of any inventor of Prehistory, so when talking about inventors we must start with the Old age, finding in many cases geniuses who, although they achieved great inventions, could not do much for the backward society in which they lived.
Archimedes
The first person we think of when talking about Old Age inventors is Archimedes, being a Greek mathematician, physicist and engineer whose creations were very advanced with respect to the thought of the time, but who was killed at the hands of the Romans as just another civilian. Among his main inventions we must speak of the Archimedean screw, the PI number, the principle of the lever and numerous siege and war machines.

During the Middle Ages and Modern age advancements were more and more common, making it easier to understand why more and more inventors were, and especially since the appearance of patrons, who were still people who paid artists and inventors for their talent.
Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci he was an Italian artist who also did scientific, mathematical and engineering work. During his life he was able to create numerous machines, but also to draw plans of others that would take years to be made, being plans of for example tanks or submarines.
Galileo
Galileo he is another of the famous and best known inventors. Italian scientist who was able to create a telescope never seen before, thanks to which it was possible to advance rapidly in all the sections related to the astronomy and cosmology. He was also able to improve the already primitive compass, creating an instrument that would be essential for the new travels of the time.
Isaac Newton
Newton was the first person who was able to explain gravity was the inventor of the reflective telescope, which improved in greatly to those of the time and was also able to reduce the problems that for years most of the telescopes.
Blaise pascal
One of the most important mathematicians in history, creating important advances such as the Pascal Law or the principle of fluid transmission, without forgetting his greatest creation, the first adding machine, this being of mechanical origin.
Jethro tull
Creator of numerous horse-drawn agricultural mechanisms, being examples of it the plow and the seeder. His advancement in the world of farmers was necessary to improve food production, but it was also key to the industrial revolution.
Benjamin Franklin
Although he is often named more for his political life, the reality is that Franklin was a very important inventor for humanity, discovering electricity and making inventions like Franklin's stove, bifocals, and lightning rods.
James watt
Key to the change in transportation that would lead to better commerce and therefore partly responsible for the Industrial Revolution. Watt was the creator of the steam engine, but more specifically to this machine linked to the trains, allowing a higher speed of these and therefore an improvement in the times of trade.
Robert hooke
Considered one of the most important people in the history of science, we can say that Robert Hooke was the discoverer of one of the key elements of science, the cell. In his books, Hooke talked about what cells were, accompanying the information with photos of them through the microscope.
Johannes Gutenberg
Considered one of the causes of the passage from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, Gutenberg was the inventor of the printing. To continue this lesson on famous inventors and their inventions we must talk about the greatest geniuses creators of the Contemporary Age, being a time when there were many more means and, therefore, it was easier for revolutionary inventions to appear.
Alessandro volta
Italian-born physicist known for having invented the electric battery or cell, using a mixture of zinc, copper and electrolyte. The importance of the creation of Volta was such that the term volt is used to refer to the electromotive force.
William A. Burt
American scientist and inventor who covered a huge number of fields during his years of life, so his inventions were very different from each other. Among his main creations we can name the typewriter, solar compass and equatorial sextant.
Nicholas Tesla
Telsa he was one of the most important inventors in the history of mankind, achieving an enormous amount of feats and laying the foundations of much of the fields in which he participated. Among the main inventions of him we can talk about the Tesla coil, fluorescent light, induction motor, alternating current, the teslascope or the principles of X-rays.
Michael Faraday
British chemist whose studies focused on the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry. Between his main discoveries we should talk about the electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism and electrolysis, thereby laying the foundations for the study of electromagnetic fields.
Samuel Morse
American inventor creator of the telegraph and morse code, thanks to which human beings were able to communicate over a huge distance almost instantaneously. Due to his contribution to this field, the code itself receives his name, being his own company the first to use it and expand it throughout the world.

Alan Turing
We end this review of famous inventors talking about Alan Turing, an English mathematician expert in computer science, being the creator of the Turing machine that years later would serve as basis for computers and the Internet, being therefore the father of computing. Thanks to his studies during World War II he was able to decipher Nazi codes, which would be essential for the victory of the Allies in the war.
