What is a genetic mutation

Welcome to a teacher, in today's video we are going to continue with the genetics section and we are going to discover what it is are the mutations and what are the types there are.

Any change in sequence or in the structure of the genetic material in our cells, it is called a mutation. Therefore, they are the source of the variability among all species on earth.

If the DNA, with which I am born, making a copy, a change in sequence of that DNA or it changes the order in which the DNA sequence is read, that is going to give a mutation. It can also be given by the fact that the structure of DNA is different from how it should be in the time to replicate, which is perfectly stretched, so that the DNA polymerase passes over it without any stumbling.
