Calculate genotypic and phenotypic ratios

In this video I will explain how to calculate the genotype ratios and phenotypic ratios. This is a very frequent exercise in genetics exercises, therefore I encourage you to follow the video carefully to understand it well.

The exercise is based on Mendel's peas, the first character is the color: yellow, dominant and recessive green. The pea skin type is rough if it is dominant and smooth if it is recessive.

The question in the exercise is what are the genotype ratios? In this question we have to develop the answer through the Punnett square.

The second exercise is to calculate the phenotypic ratio. The steps are easier once we know the proportionsgenotypic, in the video you will see how easy it is.

And so far the video now I encourage you to practice with printable exercises and their solutions that you can find a little further down. You can also ask me your questions about genotypic and phenotypic ratios, I will be happy to help you.
