Environmental tolerance ranges

Welcome to UnProfesor, today we will continue with the topic of Ecology, and we will understand what they are tolerance ranges in the environment.

Each species has a few rtolerance widths for each abiotic factor that influences their survival and growth, that is, a species of plants, for example, such as daisies, has a range of temperature tolerance. I will not find it in the North Pole or the South Pole, nor in the Amazon Rainforest, since in the temperature term would not withstand temperatures neither extremely high, nor extremely low.

The species are divided between:

- Eurioicas (means that for a certain abiotic factor, such as temperature, humidity, oxygen concentration, etc.) Euriterm, eurihydric... any prefix "euri- "implies that the range is wide.

- Stenoic (the opposite of Eurioicas, which has a very low tolerance range in the environment)

If you have any questions or comments about tolerance ranges in the environment, you can do it through our website. And if you want to practice more, you will find below this video, some printable exercises with solutions for you to do.
