Organ transplant rejection

Welcome to a teacher, in today's video we are going to discover the mechanisms of organ transplant rejection.

A transplant it is a tissue that I incorporate into my body and that comes from another body, or that comes from myself but from another place.

It is important to remember that my body must differentiate between what I am, what my cells are, and what I am not, because this is the basis that allows us to understand how it is that I I reject that tissue, whether I have put it myself or if it comes from outside.

There are two ways this tissue is recognized as foreign tissue:

- Direct self-recognition: in which my body, specifically my T lymphocytes, recognize strange MHCs.

- Indirect self-recognition: T lymphocytes will recognize foreign foreign molecules that will be presented with my own MHC.

If you have any questions or comments about it organ transplant rejection, you can do it through our website. And if you want to practice more, you will find below this video, some printable exercises with solutions for you to do.
