Art as a transformative instrument in healing processes
The holistic concept is raised by the Humanistic Psychology, names the symptom and the discomfort of the individual as a result of the emotions, the body, the spirit and the mind, thus proposing an evolutionary and integral concept of the person.
Art accounts for all human manifestation, put in the form of expression from the perspective of who lives it and who expresses it. It is such a broad and versatile concept that only man could appropriate it. It's in everything that understands us; the cosmos, nature, biology, cuisine, life itself.
Art is in you, in me, in everything and everyone, hence the depth involved in bringing such an abstract concept to the space of consultation, and of course, if everything I relate to refers to Creating, and this is ultimately the epistemological basis of the word art.

Art in therapy processes
Art in therapeutic processes plays an exceptional role, leads the individual to experience fluid emotions and to identify information contained in the unconscious of great value for the exploration and evolution of their process.
To understand the impact of art, let's take a look again at the concept of the unconscious. The Unconscious occupies a high proportion of the Human Psychic content, a proportion of 90 (unconscious) 10 (Conscious). We are alive thanks to our unconscious system; we breathe, swallow, digest, and all our biological senses operate thanks to this process.
In the unconscious is the forgotten, repressed or rejected, the complexes and the creative or vocational. This sphere of the unconscious reveals the way in which I relate to myself and to the environment. And how not to give a special invitation to Art if your cover letter represents flow, connection and introspection. A safe, inspiring navigation route with a lot of valuable content in the therapeutic process.
With this panorama we realize that, crossing the threshold of consciousness, and under the creative route we can reach a safe harbor, where yes or yes we find answers that configure the canvas of my TRUE.

So… why art?
What is sought in a therapeutic process is precisely to access those channels that are difficult to access through different techniques and art is one of those direct channels to the content unconscious, creative, numb, fatigued, and even in agony. Like someone who fishes in the river, art is the rod and the fish is the unconscious. In this order are these two truths so profound and decisive for the process of emotional anchoring that nothing more beautiful than waking up can happen.
How is art manifested? Of many ways. A simple blank canvas can be the entry or exit ticket that reveals the cause of the symptom, of suffering or simply of the perpetuation of the damage that we often insist on hold.
We support the symptom because there is no reading of it, because we think that it should be so and why there are mechanisms so robust psychics that seek to keep us as distracted as possible so as not to deal with what is truly important: The search of the truth, which is the ticket to happiness and freedom. The Ego is in charge of this subtle distraction, but today it will not be the protagonist of these lines.

What do we create? what we need to see
Every day I see in consultation how the person reveals the symptom or discomfort that summons him through the projection and how this becomes Art. Art is everything that you can transform with your hands and thought, it is a construction that gives shape to your senses and where color, aesthetics, shape, history are shaping my TRUE.
The art enters the spheres of the holistic, as well as reiki, hypnosis, meditative states, games, dance therapy, Mindfulness to name a few of the channels that connect with TRUE.
Traditional medicine and the scientific method have been responsible for years in reducing the symptom to the cause-effect model; seeking to mitigate pain and suffering from a reductionist position (the biological) as the central axis. but they omitted an undeniable truth; we are the result of: the biological or genetic, the emotional, the spiritual, the cultural and our history.
In conclusion...
As a therapist and holistic woman, I recommend art as a healing and integrating axis; making use of this in any of its human manifestations in the therapeutic context is and will be one of the exit doors of that that inhabits us and that we do not name because either we do not recognize it or it is so hidden that evasion, repression and denial do not facilitate the access.
Simply, allow us to interact with color, movement, the rhythm, the body and the canvas that ultimately represents the (I) reveals what inhabits me, what bothers me, what calls me, or simply what it is.
