Decimal number comparison
In this video I will explain how to compare decimal numbers. Solving these exercises is very simple if you follow the advice in this lesson.
In order to compare a decimal number with another decimal number and to know which one is greater than the other, we have to look at the integer part, if we have by example: 3,3 and 3,5 is 3 in both cases and in this example it does not help us to know which of the decimals is greater.
The second step is to take the decimal part, which is the first number after the comma, in our example we see that 5 is greater than 3, therefore 3.5 is greater.
In the case that there is more than one decimal we have to do the same exercise of comparison of the whole number and if it is the same we will continue comparing the first decimalIf it is the same, we will look at the second decimal place.
In the video I leave you different examples so that you understand it better although it is a very simple concept. In addition, on the web I have left you some printable exercises with their solutions for you to practice and learn how to compare decimal numbers.
