Psychologist Javiera Diaz Rivas
I am a Clinical Psychologist of the P. Catholic University, with diplomas in; adolescent psychotherapy (U. of Chile) and in work with suicidal processes in adolescents and young people (USS). I work with a gender perspective and I have several years of experience in patient care in the public and private sectors. My work is characterized by a particular listening to the discomfort that each person can bring to the consultation.
I keep myself in constant training in different topics, among which two large areas stand out. (1) On the one hand, with mood disorders (depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and other mood disorders) in adults, young people, and adolescents. And within this I accompany parents who want to learn to accompany their children with the difficulties they are experiencing. (2) On the other hand, I have a great interest in gender issues, dissidence and work with violence of different kinds. For this reason, I work with a gender perspective and have trained in spaces to work with women and dissidents from a safe space.
Within my work it is important that each patient feels comfortable and welcomed when receiving care, so I offer an active, welcoming and open listening to those who need it. If you feel that you or someone close to you is going through a difficult time, do not hesitate to write to me to find the best way to help you.
