Aquaculture

An activity that focuses on raising different species of fish, algae or mollusks in fresh or salty water environments in an artificial way. Among these, the well-known fish farms are of great importance for feeding the population. In many cases, parts of rivers or seas are used, which are limited for this, in other cases, huge pools are created for their breeding. In these industries, the meat is taken from the animals and also other series of products are made, such as fish roe.

Hunting

This activity in former times was even a sport only for the upper classes, although it usually has a fairly small proportion within the activities of the primary sector. It is a fundamental element to maintain the balance of the different animal species that occur in the environment. From there, different raw materials are also extracted.

Beekeeping

Since time immemorial, beeswax and honey have been a widespread practice, since practically the Neolithic. Today it is a source of wealth, since in addition to serving to obtain products necessary for life human, this activity helps the pollination of plants and thus the life cycle is followed perpetuating.

Fishing
