Central America is just a subcontinent, so we cannot expect the same number of states to exist as in other much larger continents, therefore in Central America we can only speak of 7 sovereign countries. When speaking of sovereign countries we must comment on their definition, being states with total autonomy, so we do not They depend in any way on anyone, neither politically, nor socially, nor economically, not responding to any other country.

As a general rule, the American countries are usually named all together, not making a distinction for each of its parts, since America is spoken of as a whole continent, but also A distinction can be made for each of the subcontinents, this being the reason why in this lesson on we will talk about the sovereign states of the American subcontinent Central.
