The singer Naím Thomas, former contestant of 'Operación Triunfo', has become the father of his first child with his wife, the painter Dahianha Mendoza. After three years of courtship, the couple decided to get married on the island, however, their wedding was shaken by tragic news. Emilia, Naím's sister, who was going to act as godmother, died just three days before the wedding.

Apparently, her sister had traveled to Fuerteventura to accompany the couple but, when they had everything ready, he suffered a cerebral stroke that he could not overcome. At first, the couple decided to cancel the wedding, but then they decided to continue without doing any kind of celebration.
