The dog and the man have a long history together. The nobility, intelligence and loyalty of this animal have made it close to humans for millennia, helping them in their work and as an excellent company.

Currently there are many breeds of dogs. Each of them has its own characteristics and often also temperaments. Some have become favorites for many different reasons, however dogs of all breeds deserve the opportunity to be part of our family.

Each breed of dog has some peculiarity that differentiates it from others. Some are large and others small, there are furry dogs and others with short hair, and there are restless and calm. In any of the cases they can live with humans, as long as they are given adequate care.

In recent decades, some dog breeds have stood out as favorites over others. This is because, in general, the breed's own temperament or physical attributes have been more adapted to certain lifestyles. Let's see which are currently the favorites.

1. Labrador retriever

The Labrador Retriever has surely been the favorite breed of dog for over 20 years. It has a docile character and is intelligent, very affectionate. He lives very well with children (and bears them with patience). Dogs of this breed are chosen to be trained as guide dogs for people with some visual impairment. Without a doubt, they do their job excellently.

2. German shepherd

The German Shepherd combine intelligence, obedience and strength. Due to these qualities they are favorites to be trained as part of rescue teams, police and firefighters. In addition, they live very well with children and humans, and with the correct training they can also be guide dogs for people with disabilities.

3. Golden retriever

Dogs of the Golden Retriever breed are favorites of large dogs. They have a loving personality and are distinguished by being very patient. They really like living with children and tend to develop a lot of attachment to their owners. They are also considered an easy breed of dog to train, as they adapt well and quickly to the rules.

4. Bulldogs

Bulldogs were originally hunting or sports dogs. Nowadays it has become more common to have it at home. Its temperament is docile, although it is convenient for it to live with children and adults since it is a puppy. The French bulldog is much smaller and full of energy. 5. Yorkshire terrier

Yorkshire Terriers are a small breed with a lot of energy inside. They were considered mouse hunters and because of their charisma, they earned a place in the home of many families. 6. Beagle

The Beagle breed of dogs is between medium and small, and they are dogs with short hair. They have a slightly large head and ears. Normally their coat is of three colors: black, brown and white.
