Another of its most attractive corners is the promenade, called the Balcón de Europa, from which you can contemplate the views of both the mountain and the sea, or the beautiful coves that are formed between the cliffs that frame it. Also noteworthy is the Nerja cave, famous for its stalactites and where you can admire Paleolithic paintings.
Cádiz, the Mermaid of the Ocean
This is how Lord Byron baptized this city located in the Bay of Cádiz itself, although the name by which it is popularly known is "Silver Cup". This historic town stands out for being considered the oldest active city in the West and for being the cradle of the Spanish Navy, all thanks to its excellent strategic location. It is for this same reason that it also maintains an excellent legacy as historical monuments.
Cádiz is visited for its beaches and its historical and cultural heritage, among which its beautiful Cathedral of the 18th century, its fortresses and towers, and its port with more than 100 towers of surveillance.
