How did Isabel of Castile become queen?
Before talking about the children of Isabel I of Castile, we must briefly talk about her ancestors to understand where the dynasty of Elizabeth was born and what was its importance until the rule of the queen.
Isabel was part of the House of Trastamara, being a dynasty of Galician origin that ruled all the Hispanic regions between the 13th and 15th centuries, both Isabel and her husband Fernando el Catolico being part of it.
Isabel's father was Juan II of Castile, a monarch known for having one of the longest reigns in Castilian history, although it has always been said that he preferred other tasks than his work as monarch and it was his favorites who really managed his kingdom.
On the death of John II, the Castilla's crown fell on Isabel's older brother, Enrique IV of Castile, known as one of the most important Castilian kings weak and as the cause of the increase in power of the Castilian nobility and the reduction of influence of the monarchy. Known for his impotence, he only had one daughter, Juana la Beltraneja, known that way because it was said that her son was actually the nobleman Beltrán de la Cueva.
After Enrique's death, a war took place between the supporters of Juana and those of Isabel that ended with the coronation of elizabeth as queen of Castile.

Juana I of Castile
Popularly known as Crazy juana she was the daughter that she received the titles of queen of Castile after Isabel's death. Betrayed by her husband, Felipe el Hermoso, she was taken away from her throne and locked up for her supposed insanity, being just a ruse for Felipe to be monarch and the Castilian dynasty to change from the Trastamara to the Austria.
Reclined in Tordesillas since the death of her husband, Queen Juana had a huge offspring, being especially important that of Carlos, King of Spain and Emperor of the Holy German Empire.
Mary
Born in 1482 and died in 1517 due to her numerous deliveries. He had more than ten children Throughout his life with King Manuel of Portugal, the widower of his sister Isabel, many of whom held great importance both in Portugal and in Europe.
Katherine
Little daughter of Isabel I and wife of Henry VIII of England, she was therefore queen of the region until her divorce from the British monarch. Considered one of the most beloved queens in the history of England, she is known for having starred in the first divorce of the English kings, since Henry's infatuation with Anne Boleyn made him call himself supreme head of the Church in England.
Still exiled, Catherine remained an important figure in European society, being a counselor to monarchs and princes and ahead of her time.
