Where is the myth of the creation of man?

Before beginning to explain the creation myth, we must locate the source that we are going to use to search for this information, since without sources there is no way to locate the information. To know how God created man, we must go to the written sources of the Christian religion, being the set of text that we call Bible.

The Bible is divided into two parts

, being the so-called New Testament and Old Testament, the latter being the one that goes from the creation of everything to the birth of Jesus Christ, and therefore being the place where we must find information about the creation of the human being. In this book we can know the creation of the world according to the Bibleand, thus, know one of the theories of the origin of life best known on a religious level.

Among all those texts that make up the Old Testament we have to go to the so-called Genesis, being the one that marks the beginning of the whole. In this section the creation of the world is narrated and, in one of the days, the creation of man is explained. Therefore, the creation of man is part of the creation of the world.

How God created man - Where is the myth of the creation of man?

The theory that tells how God created man.

People say that the sixth day of creation, God saw the world that he had created, wonderful being all a paradise. But the deity realized that this whole world he was too empty, so he had the idea to create man. This being an intelligent being that could inhabit and rule that empty land and therefore could honor and adore him as the sole creator.

God had just created the domestic and wild animals but they were not able to rule the new world that he had created since they were not perfect enough. God needed a new being, more complex and intelligent that the animals but that they did not reach the divinity of the angels that accompanied God in Heaven. God decided that this new species should be created in his image and likeness and that his name would be man.

We are not sure how God created man, since the most general theory speaks of the creation through the use of clay, being the first material that God saw and, at the same time, a way of uniting human beings with the land they inhabited. Other sources and theories speak of use of powder for the creation of the human being, being through the divine air that gave life to this new form of life.

It is said that the name of this first man was that of Adam and that God gave him a new world completely filled with food and wonders for him to enjoy, as long as he worshiped his creator and was not deceived by the devil. The greater intelligence of Adam also made him worthy to be able to rule over the rest of the species, since he was much more apt than the animals for it.

How God Created Woman.

To continue with this lesson on how God created man we must talk about the creation of woman, since the origin of him in some versions is not equal to that of man.

On some versions It is said that the woman and the man were created at the same time, being both equal beings created by means of the mud or the dust, although this version with time was has returned secondary, giving priority to the considered official version that we are going to comment on continuation.

People say that Adam was not totally happy in the paradise that God had created, and by divine being he realized that just as animals needed equal beings to get together, men needed something equal. Adam asked God for a companion, and the supreme being took one of the ribs from the first man to create the first woman named Eve. With the first man and the first woman the work of God was completed.

God blessed the two human beings and told them to be happy in paradise, having descended and thereby populating that world that he had created to be directed by men.

Lilith, the first woman in the world according to other versions

On the other hand, we must talk about an alternative story about the first woman in history, being the one that talks about Lilith. It is said that this woman was Adam's first wife, contradicting the writings of the Bible that speak about the first woman being Eve, since in Christian texts little is said about this woman.

Whereas in the jewish texts Yes, it is talked about and it is believed that both theories of the creation of women could be reality, being born Eve from the rib but being born man and woman at the same time. It is said that Lilith faced God, she being the reason why she was expelled from paradise and later becoming a Devil, so it disappeared from the biblical texts.
