Hi! I am a Master's in Educational Psychology, from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, and graduated from the Doctorate Program in Psychology at this same Peruvian university. Likewise, she has a degree in Social Communication from the University of Lima, Peru. I have specialized in therapeutic work with women over 18 years of age. Therefore, I consider myself a gender psychologist. During 2019 and part of 2020, I followed the course on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, for its acronym in English. This therapeutic model, considered one of the "third generation" therapies, presents novelties in relation to second and third generation therapies. first generation, and has scientific validity, this means that the model has been tested in different samples of people, obtaining favorable results in the treatment of different problems of a psychological nature, being among the most common, anxiety and depression. Finally, I think that the fact of being a woman represents a condition that favors the generation of a closer bond with the patient.
Likewise, I have worked as a university professor at different universities in Lima; in counseling and conflict management, in a private company in Lima, Peru, for more than 20 years.
About 20 years ago I began to discover my passion for research in psychology, specifically, in the educational, social and gender areas. As part of my doctoral studies in psychology, I have conducted research, working with samples of women who work in the informal economy of Lima, the city where I live. I hope to present the results of this research, as well as my doctoral thesis during the next year 2021.
