Hypnosis: Fact or Fraud?

Many people wonder if the hypnosis Is it true or if it is, on the contrary, an invention. It has often been seen on television shows related to the phenomenon of hypnosis.

The media spotlights present a kind of magician who in a matter of seconds is capable of sedating another person deeply, and in that state of unconsciousness, make it respond to questions or obey the hypnotist's orders, performing actions that it would not perform in a waking state, or that it would be unable to carry out cape.

Is hypnosis a fraud?

Well, it should be clarified that hypnosis is very reall. It is a psychic phenomenon that can take place if the conditions are right. But, of course, hypnosis is not what the television shows we mentioned earlier show. People who undergo hypnosis for therapeutic purposes and by a qualified professional do not go to sleep, but close their eyes and release the muscles, but remain fully awake, they think freely, give their opinion on what the hypnotist asks them, and can come out of the hypnosis state at any time and stop obeying the instructions.

Being aware of this point, it is obvious to conclude that if the hypnotized person receives instructions that would like to do, he simply will not carry them out, and may choose to open his eyes and finish the session. If we have seen that in hypnosis shows the volunteers carry out actions that they would not carry out while awake, it is, or because the context encourages them to allow themselves to be carried by the experience to such limits, or because, indeed, they pretend to be hypnotized. In the first case, they do allow to fuel certain phenomena that we usually associate with hypnosis: hypersuggestibility, selective amnesia, analgesia, overfocused attention

In short, hypnosis does exist and in fact there are many scientific tests and theories that deal with its qualities in a large number of world universities, but obviously you have to know how to distinguish between hypnosis and the version of hypnosis offered by the cinema or the TV.
