Who was Ibn Battuta. Ibn Battuta was a Muslim traveler and explorer who traveled thousands of miles during the heyday of the empire Muslim, of Muslim culture. In fact, he was born in Tangier in 703 of the aegis (that is, in 1304) and died, also in Morocco (it is not clear whether in 1368 or 1369). He is known for the account of his trip that lasted 20 years and that he explained to the Granada poet Ibn Yuzayy and transcribed it. In fact, almost everything we know of Ibn Battuta's life is through this book. The book known as "Rihla".
