Ana Maria Egido Mendoza
I have a degree in Clinical and Health Psychology since 2006 and I have the qualification as a General Health Psychologist. During these years I have been training in different orientations creating an eclectic profile from the to be able to offer a tailor-made treatment according to the characteristics and life history of each person. The techniques I use are: EMDR, Brief Integrated Psychotherapy, Ericksonian Hypnosis and Mindfulness. These types of techniques allow me to perform more effective and in-depth treatments compared to other conventional approaches. I currently work in one of the leading offices located in the center of Madrid, El Prado Psicólogos. In it, I am part of a great team of professionals in which we use the most effective and innovative techniques in the field of Psychology.
My professional experience is fundamentally based on three areas: 1. Emergency and Disaster Psychologist, where I was able to see first-hand suffering at its best, where resources were limited and it was necessary to act as quickly and efficiently as possible. 2. Giving training in companies, bringing Clinical and Health Psychology closer to the workplace (one of the main sources of stress) and 3. The practice of Clinical Psychology in the private sphere, an area in which I have been more focused in recent years and which currently constitutes my daily work.
I cannot end my presentation without mentioning the most important thing, the Love I feel for my work. I think that to practice Psychology you not only have to be very well trained and have experience, but you also need to feel that you could not do Better yet, you need to work hard on your own personal growth and have certain essential skills that allow you to look at the people with love, respect, humility and strength to be able to offer a safe space in which to support, accompany and guide her on her way to wellness.
