Summary of Nada by Carmen Laforet: Part One.
As we said, the novel Any of it begins in the postwar period where Andrea, a young pre-university student, decides to move to Barcelona with her maternal family to begin her university studies there. Her relatives are not entirely to her liking from the beginning, but she decides to stay there anyway. Among them are her aunts Angustias and Gloria, as well as her uncles Juan and Román, who have a series of problems that affect her way of being and clash with Andrea. There, in addition, their

This clash between the two societies, the poor and the not so poor, will influence Andrea's life from that very moment.

Summary of Nada: Part Two.
We follow this summary of Any by Carmen Laforet to attend the second part of the novel. The absence of her aunt makes Andrea mismanage your money in order to appear a better social position in front of their friends. Also, among Andrea's university friends is Pons, with whom she ends up maintaining a relationship that does not last for a long time. And it is that, at the moment in which Pons invites Andrea to a party at her house, she feels that she does not fit into that environment, in addition to feeling annoyed when she sees him having fun with some friends. This makes Andrea uncomfortable and she ends up leaving him.
Third part of Nada by Carmen Laforet.
As the days go by Ena begins to approach Roman, Andrea's uncle. This happens due to an old unrequited romance on the part of Ena's mother with Roman. This situation shakes the foundations of the friendship between the two girls, since Roman ends up taking his own life, the result of the revenge produced by Ena. And, in fact, Andrea felt a great affinity with her uncle, since she used to go up to the attic where he lived to hear him play music.
Before this happens, Ena's mother has a conversation with Andrea where she she confesses everything and the protagonist is forced to look for her friend to prevent the situation from continuing. Ena confesses that she had never been in love with her uncle Roman, and that they hadn't really taken the relationship too far, since she only moved with ideals of revenge for her mother. This woman being unhappy for not being reciprocated by Andrea's uncle, Ena only wanted to make him suffer.
That is how Andrea and Ena end up forgiving each other, But it is as a result of everything that happened, as we said, that Roman ends up taking his own life. The novel ends with Ena's family leaving Barcelona. The parents of this see Andrea with very good eyes, since she has always treated Ena very well, so, already settled in the capital, they offer a job in Madrid to the protagonist.
Andrea gladly accepts the offer and finishes leaving behind all the suffering that the city of Barcelona had been providing him and, more especially, his family there. And this is how the novel ends, searching in Madrid for what she could not find in Barcelona.
