Meaning of NATO

In this new video from Unprofesor we will explain "Meaning of NATO".

Meaning of the NATO. Let's start by defining; What do we understand by NATO? NATO is the acronym for "North Atlantic Treaty Organization". Let's position ourselves; finish her World war 2 and the world is divided into two large blocks (the communist bloc and the capitalist bloc) in permanent veiled struggle. In other words, there is no armed conflict, but there is conflict of interest and pressure on third countries to join one or another bloc. Within this breeding ground, NATO was created, which was initially signed by 10 countries on both sides of the Atlantic. These countries are:

1- Belgium

2- Canada

3- Denmark

4- United States

5- France

6- Iceland

7- Italy

8- Luxembourg

9- Netherlands

10- Portugal

11- United Kingdom

These countries are committed to mutual defense in the event that either of them receives armed aggression from a third party. That is, they sign a pact to protect each other from possible aggressions on the side of the communist bloc.

This led to the signing of the Warsaw Pact, The other side of the coin. The pact signed by the pro-Soviet countries. So we have NATO and the Warsaw Pact at odds in two blocks. Some sign the mutual defense of the capitalist states and others sign the mutual defense of the communist states.
