Vertebrate animals for kids
The animal world is very important and, in fact, people are part of it and it is necessary that we get to know it better little by little. There are many ways to classify animals, but one of the most basic is to differentiate between vertebrate animals and invertebrate animals. In this video lesson today, we will focus on vertebrate animals, the group that also includes people.
Vertebrate animals are those that have a spine or spine. This is the center of the body and it divides it into two equal parts, the left and the right. Furthermore, these living beings have a hard skull that protects the brain and a skeleton that gives them structure and movement.
Within vertebrate animals there is a great diversity of species, some being very similar and others totally different from one another. To continue classifying and differentiating these living beings well, we can organize the vertebrate animals in groups:
- Fishes.
- Mammals
- Birds.
- Amphibians
- Reptiles
