Psychologist José Miguel Aybar Salinas (Alcalá de Henares)

My name is José Miguel Aybar Salinas. I am a psychologist graduated from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). I have a Master's Degree in Clinical, Legal and Forensic Psychology obtained from the Complutense University of Madrid, (UCM). I also studied the Master in Integrative Psychotherapy taught by the Universidad de Las Américas and the Master in Prevention of Drug Addiction and Other Addictive Behaviors from the International University of Valencia (VIU). I have worked as a forensic psychologist at the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, and thanks to that experience, I was able to appreciate the great relationship that exists between problems behavioral, emotional and legal with drug use which led me to delve into the study and treatment of drug addiction and other behaviors such as gambling pathological. The treatment of depression and anxiety are fundamental in the development of my profession since they often overlap with addictive or risky behaviors.

I have been trained in the treatment and prevention of Drug Addiction and other Addictive Behaviors such as Pathological gambling and addiction to new technologies because I consider that it is a matter of great relevance in the present. Another professional area in which I work is advising opponents of the Civil Guard and National Police regarding the Personality, Biodata and Psychological Interview tests. More than 90% of the opponents who have prepared with me have managed to enter the State security forces.

I consider that one of my main virtues is the great capacity to empathize with the client and to be able to adapt the treatment to each particular case. The intellectual background that I have acquired over the years allows me to have a wide range of treatment resources and prevention that are very useful in the relief of psychological discomfort and the remission of the different psychopathologies. My main virtue is the love and respect I feel for psychology and for the people who request my professional intervention.
