Psychologist Ps. Diego Duran (Sopela)

I work as an online psychologist with patients from all over the world. I am Uruguayan by nationality and since 2016 I live in Spain. I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist for more than a decade. After graduating in Psychology, I continued my academic training by completing two Master's degrees and I was a university teacher for years. Currently I am still linked to research tutoring different degree theses. In my work as a clinical psychologist I attend to a wide range of problems and in the last five years I have specialized in the psychological consequences of expatriation.

Living outside your home country can produce feelings of anxiety, stress, and loneliness. Adjusting to a new culture and language, establishing new relationships, and changing jobs or careers is not always easy. Even more so if we are far from our family and friends. Still, these transitions can be opportunities for growth.

In an environment of trust, honesty and cooperation, I propose that my patients can understand their current situation as an opportunity for growth. As a psychotherapist, I am characterized by empathizing through active listening, respecting time, seeking practical solutions and not judging.
