The immune system is in charge of this defense responseThis means that if something foreign enters the body, it will attack it. But also that if there is something that is malfunctioning from within, you must destroy it.

To do this, you need the help of leukocytes. These are the white blood cells. Its function is defense (fight against antigens).

Antigens They are any molecule, particle, substance... that the body detects as alien, as something that is not part of it. We will find that they are substances or particles that do not express certain glycoproteins that the cells that are mine do express.
