Psychologist María Isabel Seguí (Buenos Aires)
Hello! My name is Isabel, I have a degree in Psychology, Professor in the same subject, specialist in cognitive psychotherapy and neuroscience. I love my career, I love learning, but above all I like to put my knowledge and experience at the service of others, and that is why I decided to dedicate myself to the clinic. Together, in this space that only psychology can provide, we will be able to work on what brought you to the consultation: either to get to know you better [email protected], project yourself in your professional and/or academic career, or talk about something that has been bothering you for some time. My goal is to accompany you on this path, and put my technical knowledge into action so that you can generate new tools in the hands of a qualified professional. It's a pleasure to meet you!
Since I was a little girl I have been characterized by my curiosity and my analytical thinking. Also, for my love of understanding life and helping others enjoy it too. These traits, which have probably influenced my choice of career (psychology), are what continue to characterize me today. I am a professional with a logical and methodical, yet empathic approach, and I never get tired of doing what I do.
My area of specialization is cognitive psychotherapy and neurosciences, especially if they are applied to areas of my interest! As are the clinic, aviation or robotics. That's right, I have a broad knowledge of what human factors and human-computer interaction are, and the clinical aspects that involve these activities (such as the fear of flying or driving, or facing adaptations to new technologies in your work, and many others more things). However, we can talk about many other topics besides those. The mind is incredibly complex and fascinating, and the cognitive aspects that can be observed in activities before mentioned are the same that we can observe in completely different situations, although they are seen in different ways. I have experiences in the clinical field with adult patients, in short or long-term therapies, and in different types of difficulties. I have mostly worked with borderline personality disorder, phobias, eating disorders, self-esteem and family issues.
