Velazquez(1599-1660) is another representative of Baroque painting, the most outstanding Spanish painter of the Spanish Baroque and one of the masters of painting of all time. He is considered a gloomy painter and one of the best Habsburg court painters.

Velázquez was named painter of Felipe IV, and today most of his works belonging to the royal collection are exhibited in the Museo del Prado. Author of a very long work, Velázquez has as his most iconic painting Las Meninas.

Vermeer.

In it dutch baroque stands out the figure of Johannes Vermeer (1632–1675, costumbrista-style painter who was characterized by reflecting the everyday in his canvases, in addition to making portraits and commissions from the Dutch gentry.

Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640) is a Flemish Baroque painter who is considered another of the best representatives of baroque painting.

Rubens had as referents Titian, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, being one of the first painters to participate in the art market and have his own workshop commercial painting, that is, responding to commissions for his works, coming to paint more than 3000 paintings.

Among his works stands out The Adoration of the Magi, exhibited in the Museo del Prado. We also highlight The Three Graces, descent of Christ either The elevation of the cross.

Artemisia Gentileschi.

Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1656) was a italian baroque painter that she achieved great fame in her time for the quality of her works, comparing her to Caravaggio for the intensity and drama that the painter introduces into her works.

Artemisia painted for the English monarch Charles I of England and he met another of the great figures of the Baroque, the painter Van Dyck. One of her great works is Judith beheading Holofernes, famous work for capturing in it all the anger caused by the rape of her at the hands of the painter Agostino Tassi.
