One-digit multiplication problems

Once the child has internalized the concept of multiplication and know how to solve simple 1-digit multiplications, you can start with the solving simple multiplication problems. Problems in general scare us since having to abstract our minds to understand them are quite complicated. It is very important that problems talk about things that are familiar to children: things from school, objects from everyday life, with children their own age as protagonists... This will make it easier for them to understand the problems.

In this video I will explain how solve one-digit multiplication problems simple. This I will do from the resolution of three problems created expressly by me to be able to explain step by step how to solve them. I will divide the problems into three distinct parts: the data, the operation or operations, and the solution. It is very important that when the child begins to solve problems they follow these steps as a routine since they will help him to understand them better and to solve them correctly.

Also, I have left on the website some printable exercises with their solutions with problems similar to those I explain in the video so that they can practice at home themselves.
