Problems with sexagesimal system

Welcome to UnProfesor, today we are going to solve a few sexagesimal system problems. We start with the first problem:

- 2 tennis matches have started at 12.00 in the morning. The first lasted 2h 47min and 13s. The second lasted 35min and 54s.

a) How much longer has the first match lasted compared to the second?

b) What time did the first match end? What time did the second finish?

In order to solve the problem, we must organize the data we have. Next, to solve the first question, we must make a subtraction of the total time of both games, and the result will be the difference between both.

Once we obtain a result, to answer the second question, we will have to do a sum: a 12h 0min 0s, which is the moment the match started, we will add 2h 47min 13s, which is how long the game lasted match. The result of this operation will be the time that the first match lasted.
