Multiplication properties
In this video I will explain what the multiplication properties. Multiplication has basically 4 properties: commutative property, associative property, element-neutral property Y distributive property.
Here is a summary of each of the properties which I will explain in more detail in the video:
- commutative property: the order of the factors of a multiplication does not alter the product.
- associative property: When multiplying three or more numbers, the product will be the same as the factors are grouped, that is, the numbers can be associated in any way you want when multiplying them that the result of the multiplication will be the same.
- neutral element property: the neutral element of multiplication is the number 1. Any number multiplied by 1 will give that same number.
- distributive property: a number multiplied by the sum of two numbers will be equal to the number that multiplies by the first adding plus the number that multiplies by the second adding.
Once you have understood the multiplication properties
, you can perform the printable exercises with their solutions that I have left you on the website. In this way, you will be able to practice everything you have learned about the properties of multiplication.
