Learn to multiply by three figures
The multiplication, as you know, is one of the basic operations of the Math of the Primary education. After this, the division is learned which is also very important.
In this video I will show you multiply by three digits. In order to multiply by 3 digits follow the same procedure as for multiply by 2 digits. First of all, we will multiply the number corresponding to the units by all the numbers above (from right to left). Then, we will do the same with the number corresponding to the tens and, finally, we will multiply the number corresponding to the hundreds. Once this is done, we will have to make a sum of the three results and it will give us the solution of the 3-digit multiplication.
Remember that it is very important to place the numbers correctly when making a three-digit multiplication because otherwise the solution will not be correct. To do this, you can use the trick of the ladder that I taught you when multiplying by 2 figures (in the video you will understand it better).
I have left you some
printable exercises with their solutions so that you can practice with multiplication of three figures similar to the ones we have worked on in the video. I hope they help you!
