Psychologist Rocío Vílchez Martínez

My name is Rocío Vílchez, I am a health psychologist by vocation, my main interest has always been helping others and for this reason since I finished my degree I continued training and got involved in different projects and associations. I collaborated with the Termalay association, dedicated to supporting the implementation of programs to support families; in Margins and Links, carrying out assessment and intervention with minors; at the Alhaurín de la Torre prison, collaborating in an investigation to detect similarities between men convicted of gender violence and convicted of rape... Despite constantly training, when I finished my master's degrees in "Equality and Gender" and "Legal Psychology", I dedicated myself to doing therapy and carrying out expert reports. All this combined with the realization of collaborations and projects such as stimulation programs in residences for adults; therapies in Residences for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and behavioral problems; programs for drug addicts and workshops for specific populations in town halls; and therapies for women victims of GBV

I consider myself a person of great empathic and reflective capacity. Able to connect with people and identify their needs. I like to put all my knowledge at the service of those who need it and be honest in terms of ways of proceeding, forecasts, performance times... I like that my patients evolve and can have a therapeutic discharge with a normal life as soon as possible. Emotional stability and good mental health are very important, they translate into quality of life and that is what I intend to give to all those people who come to my center in search of aid.

Regarding my specialties: - Mention that I am a specialist in the preparation and assessment of expert and counter-expert reports for legal proceedings in areas of Disability, Guard and Custody, Traffic Accidents, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, cases of Gender Violence, Abuse and Mistreatment of Minors, School and Workplace Bullying... and I carry out ratifications in court. - I have many years of experience doing individual and group therapy for children and adolescents, with adolescents and adults who have problems food, family, sexual and couple conflicts, family therapy, mediation, addictions, grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behavior problems in children and adolescents, learning difficulties, sleep, stress, social skills, relaxation, management and control of impulses_of emotional_anger...
