Psychologist María Victoria Méndez Dutari
Hello! My name is María Victoria Méndez. I am a Psychologist graduated from the Santa María La Antigua University where I also took a master's degree focused on Clinical Psychology of Children and Adolescents. I also have training in recognizing and responding to suicidal risk; in ADHD and Bullying. Currently I am present in courses on topics such as Theraplay (play-based therapy), adolescence, treatment based on mentalization, positive discipline and others. I have applied these studies in jobs within schools or children's centers, taking the role of School Psychologist. as well as giving workshops or talks to young people about bullying, self-esteem, the use of electronic cigarettes and the rest. Through therapy I seek to offer children, adolescents and young adults a safe space in which they can disconnect to reconnect... to find themselves on this path we call life, to be able to identify the tools they have used and to be able to discover the valuable being that they are. My role as a therapist is that of containment, accompaniment and, above all, security. I work every day to reflect in my patients that little ray of light that encourages them to re-discover, re-learn and re-fall in love with themselves. For every relationship two people are needed, the same is true in the therapeutic relationship. We are a team, I invite you to join!
