What are the units of time
In this video I will explain what are the units of time. The basic unit of time according to the International system is he second but the problem is that it is a very small unit. Therefore, it is important to also know the larger time units.
The major units of time are as follows:
- the second: from this we will have the multiples of the second.
- the minute: we will multiply the second by 60
- The time: we will multiply the minute by 60
- We would also have the day, the week, the month, the year ...
Here you have a table where you will see how to go from one to another easily:
The submultiples of the second are as follows:
- decisecond: we divide the second by 10.
- centisecond: we divide the decisecond by 10.
- millisecond: We divide the centisecond by 10.
- we would also have the microsecond, nanosecond, etc ...
In the video I explain these time units in more detail so you can learn how to switch from one to the other. In addition, on the web I have left you some printable exercises with their solutions so you can practice what you learned in class today.
