It tends to be considered that this book is linked to the Gospel of Luke, sometimes considering that Acts is like a kind of second part of the book of Luke, since even in the book this is commented. Even so, both books should be discussed separately, due to the great importance of both texts.

Acts begins with a gathering of all the apostles and other followers of Jesus, who they elect Matías as the new apostle replacing the traitor Judas. During years, Christianity spreads throughout the area of apostolic influence, getting a large number of baptisms and converts to the Christian religion. This was changing little by little, arriving at a time in which the Christians were persecuted by the Jews, being a turning point the death of Esteban at Jewish hands.

Later God's message was sent to Samaritans and Gentiles, which after a few years were vital for the creation of the first church. Shortly after this there were two of the greatest conversions of this stage, the first of Saul, one of the Jews who had persecuted the Christians, and that he was blinded and later cured by God for denying Jesus, and the second conversion was that of Cornelius, a Gentile who, along with Peter, received a visit from God.

The book concludes by telling us about Council of jerusalem, being a meeting between the apostle Peter and the rest of the Christian leaders in Jerusalem, being considered by many as the first meeting of the Christian Church. After the meeting, Pedro left for Asia Minor, to continue planting churches and spreading the word of God throughout the world.

  • The book comments on some medical technical details, which were simple for Lucas, since it was his office.
  • In the book it is mentioned that the author is a faithful collaborator of Pablo and Lucas accompanied him for years.
