Simón Bolívar, at the beginning of XIX century, in Southamerica. Where the Spanish American wars of independence and emancipation took place. That is, they achieve independence from Spain, the metropolis. The colonies achieve their own self-determination.
There are various politicians or soldiers who were the architects of all this. One of the most important was Simón Bolívar. He was a Venezuelan military and politician that achieved the emancipation of many South American countries in front of Spain. He is therefore considered one of the fathers of the country. The countries in which he was directly involved with his independence are; Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. Simón Bolívar was born in Venezuela in 1783 and when he was young, he was sent to Spain (the metropolis) to study. That is where he comes into contact with enlightened and pre-revolutionary ideas. In 1810, when he returned to Venezuela, he joined what would become the "junta" (the government) that proclaimed its independence.
