When human rights began

In the year 1948 human rights began in the world, just after World War II. Legislation on life has changed over the centuries, and during these changes different institutions have legislated on it. In this lesson from a TEACHER we will talk about when did human rights begin, a very important element in our days, as it is the only element that protects our dignity, against abusive systems that may try to attack us.

What are human rights?

We begin the lesson by defining the concept of Human Rights:

Human Rights is the recognition of the dignity of human beings, something that makes it impossible to discriminate against anyone or make any distinction. These rights remain collected in a legal text to which you can go as long as you sense that there may be some element that goes against human dignity.

What are the most important contents within this text?

With the creation of human rights, one of the most important points to be safeguarded was motherhood and childhood, since these two elements are considered the fundamental nucleus of society.

  • Every human being is born and remains free, therefore, there should be no social distinctions.

  • Freedom is not doing everything that does not harm another person.
  • No one can go against the political and religious ideas of another person, since freedom of expression belongs to everyone.
  • The law can only establish strict penalties, but always maintaining a minimum towards the person.
  • Every man is innocent until proven otherwise.
  • Property is an inviolable right that no one can take away, if it has to be expropriated, it must be compensated.
