In 1910 the president of Mexico it was Porfirio Diaz, being a politician who after many years changing the Mexican system had become some kind of dictator with almost infinite powers, causing her to have been in his position for more than 30 years.

The figure that had the most relevance to occupy the position of Porfirio was Francisco Madero, being a firm opponent of the regime established by the Mexican dictator and who also had great supports within the Mexican people. The polls seemed to make it clear that Madero had a good chance of winning, but in a change of mind Porfirio appeared in the elections, had Madero imprisoned so as not to have competition and remained in the can.

After getting out of jail, Madero fled to the United States, where he began to ask for a revolution in the Mexican nation, asking that all opponents of the dictatorship rise up in arms. This movement was called the Pact of San Luis, and with it the Maderista revolution began.

The movement started by the revolution went to big scale, rising up all the Mexican people at the same time, and thereby causing Porfirio Díaz finally resigned and it was Francisco Madero who will occupy the position of president of the nation.

Government of Madero.

After the overthrow of Porfirio in 1911, some elections that were won by Madero with a large majority partly for having been the man who started the popular revolution which finally brought democracy to the nation. Madero's victory was 99%, being an absolute triumph and initiating the period of the Mexican revolution that is usually called the Madero government.

The Madero government had, from its inception, many problems, starting with the constant struggle of the new president against corruption created during the long dictatorship of Porfirio, but also due to the enormous differences that had arisen on the revolutionary side after Madero came to power.

After he came to power, Madero had entrusted his fate to Porfirio's troops, leaving aside those soldiers who had helped him take power during the revolution. This, together with the fact that Madero did not respond to the demands of the farmers, caused the Ayala Plan, being the name given to the military coup initiated by Emiliano Zapata and the men from the field.

The war between Madero and Zapata remained throughout the region, but it was neither of the two who achieved power, since it was Victorian Huerta, a military supporter of Porfirio, who through a coup came to power and positioned himself as a dictator by killing Log.

His idea was to end the Madero reforms and return to a time similar to the previous one, but for this he had to defeat the revolutionaries.

Huerta's problems were not only on the Mexican side, but he also found himself facing a president of the States United that he considered that Huerta was not the best for the neighboring nation of him and asked him on numerous occasions to return to power to the town.

Zapata and Villa formed a constitutionalist army, whose function was to defeat Huerta and restore democracy to Mexico. After months of war, the peasants and the rest of the revolutionaries took the main cities of the Mexican nation, forcing Victoriano Huerta to leave his post.
