As a psychologist (and as a person) I constantly strive to improve the health of my body and mind. I believe that the most effective way to help others to be healthy is to progress personally and that the best way to progress is to help others. On the other hand, today I am the one who is in a position to help, but who knows what may happen tomorrow. The client who requests my help as a professional psychologist and I walk the same path, we are partners. In order for psychotherapy to be a safe space, I try to be internally calm. And that can encourage those who trust me as a psychologist to let go of the burden with which they carry. I try to keep an open mind so I can bring a fresh point of view. And it helps me to think that there is fundamentally nothing wrong with the customer who comes to me. It also helps me to practice yoga and mindfulness meditation (Mindfulness) daily. My job is to appreciate that person's world and intensify their experience of it. The client embodies the mystery.
