Human body parts for kids
Learning about our own body is essential and you have to start by knowing the basics. So in this lesson from a teacher on the parts of the human body and their functions we can see a simple, dynamic and fun explanation for the little ones. As a summary, we can say that the human body is mainly divided into four parts:
- Head: It is the upper end of the body, where, for example, the brain (protected by the skull), the eyes, the mouth, the nose and the ears, among other parts, are found. In addition, we find the neck, which is the part that joins the head with the trunk, which is the part that is just under the head.
- Trunk: It is the part of the center of the body, which supports the head and from which the limbs emerge. In the trunk we find the chest, abdomen and back, among other parts. Specifically, the trunk connects with the other main parts in the following way: through the neck connects with the head, by the shoulders with the upper extremities and by the hip with the extremities lower.
- Superior limbs: These are the arms, which are made up of the upper arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand.
- Lower extremities: These are the legs, which are made up of the thighs, knees, lower legs, ankles, and feet.
