What is the Cingulate Cortex (Cingulate Gyrus)
In this BIOLOGY video we will explain "What is the Cingulate Cortex (Cingulate Gyrus)".
Today we are going to dedicate this video to the cingulate cortex, also called cingulate gyrus, cingulate gyrus, or cingulate. This region, in previous videos such as the limbic system, the amygdala... we commented that it was a region what make a difference very big between us and other animals. Not because we want to feel superior but because, literally, when we pick up what input it receives and what output it emits, we find that there are regions that in other species are not united. In that sense, what happens? It happens that the consciousness of an animal is formed depending on how its neuroarchitecture is built. So... let's start from joining these important regions such as the amygdala, hippocampus (part of the system limbic), they participate in memory, emotions (the hypothalamus, which is a neuroendocrine control unit, control neuronal).
