Anxiety as a path to self-knowledge and freedom

When society tells you that the accelerated world is the right one, that the stress and the anxiety in your day to day they are normal and acceptable, and that living with continuous tension is a common tonic and even reinforced; we have a huge conflict in front of us.

Biologically, the human being is prepared to be able to punctually sustain moments of stress in which flight or fight may be necessary to survive in our environment. But today, the sustained stress we are subjected to in our hectic daily lives leads us to live in continuous anguish and nervousness, and this has very serious consequences for our physical, mental and energetic.

At this point, we have several ways to address these kinds of problems. We can ignore the call for change, or we can steer toward a more sustainable life and connected with our inner essence.

It is possible that the first call towards a transmutation will not be heard; perhaps we are too young or perhaps we are not prepared, that we still have to learn about other vicissitudes that may be presented to us. But life, like the planet and its nature, is cyclical, and this implies that those experiences that we have not addressed directly with determination and awareness to fully learn from them,

they will be repeated to us periodically and more and more clearly, and almost certainly, also more painfully.

At this point, in which the person connects with this intense suffering, a dark well of shadows hangs over him. This is the moment I call "the dark night of the soul"; It is a period of maximum sadness, pain and loneliness, where we are given the opportunity, through the most terrible expression of our desolation, to transmute said situation by entering contact with our being, our essence, and with the Energy of oneself and of the whole, to connect with our intuition and more pure.

How can we, in this moment of total grief and anguish, connect with this most authentic, spontaneous and lightest part of ourselves? Doing an act of self-awareness and work on our shadows is one of the ways in which this is possible.

Getting back on our feet in the face of anxiety

Normally, we don't want to face all this darkness; It is the part of our person that generates the most discomfort. But seeing them head-on and accepting them, as well as integrating them with love, we can feel more secure and free in relation to our elections and daily events.

The awareness of one and oneself, the connection with our essence, is achieved with acts as simple and unique as:

  • Attention in the present, the here and now, or Mindfulness.
  • The fun and enjoyment in the small details, the simple things that make us happy.
  • A conscious and healthy life, with a healthy diet and regular physical exercise, as well as daily restful sleep.
  • Nature: its healing capacity is incredible. If we take a good forest bath we will see the difference in our energy state before and after.
  • Meditation, detach from our thoughts and simply focus quietly on our breath, our bodily sensations and our state of being, our awareness.
  • Integrate mindfulness into breathing as a tool to calm our anxiety.
  • Visualizations; close our eyes and imagine ourselves in a situation in a natural environment totally in peace and calm, integrating that landscape of harmony and that joy in us.
  • Positive Mindset or Positive Attitude, analyze why the way you face life and what color you see it determines the way events are going to unfold.
  • Surround yourself with people with high vibration or positive energy, who contribute to you.

These are some of the ways to start tuning in to the much healthier frequencies of you and our mother earth, which are not related to stress, anxiety, hectic pace or rushing, but rather with calm, the cycles of nature, patience and silence.

Action and rest are in tune and are in balance in our natural environment; This is not the case in our current work environments and cities. Let's take pauses to repair, heal and reconnect, and live our earthly experience with more love and awareness, leaving a beautiful imprint of pure essence on our existence.
