Today we think that a person is sane when he dresses like most people in the same area where he lives, talks in the same way, has fun in a way similar, has very similar habits, works on something equally accepted, manages his relationships in a way that is identifiable as normal, his way of speaking does not deviate from some patterns etc

But you know what? The key here is that everything is valued in relation to where you live and the people who live near you, neighbors, people from your town or city... The models of conduct that we see in the media such as television, the Internet and others.

Imagine something...

Visualize and mentally recreate the best you can that you live in a psychiatric hospital. You sleep between padded walls, you take your medication at the same time as the rest, you certainly go to sleep when everyone else does...

When you get up in the morning, you do everything the same way; you have breakfast, you wear the same clothes, "the one that is fashionable there", you drink and eat the same as the majority, You see the same thing on television, you entertain yourself by doing the same activities, you speak very similar, etc

We all have an enormously efficient neural system whose operation is largely automatic and unconscious. He has provided us with survival for thousands of years and in many different ways. One of them is help us fit in with our peers and favor the perpetuation of the species.

One of these systems that help us to operate this very useful and necessary system are mirror neurons. Simplifying a lot, they unconsciously copy all the behaviors of the beings among whom we live and who are close to us...

That is why it is so important that you consciously regulate the relationships you maintain every day, since if your friends practice a lot of sport, it will be very easy to see that, even if you have never practiced it, you start and include it in your routine, almost without effort.

The same happens with the economic level, unhealthy habits, etc.

How do you think you will behave and what kind of life will you "live"?

That's why it's so important that you allow yourself to be different, that you allow yourself to be you... May you allow yourself to live the life you deserve.

And rest assured, that won't happen by going with the flow, going with the pack on the beaten path; saying yes to everything that they subtly sell you "in exchange for nothing", being one more... It is important that you understand that I am super grateful to be able to live in Europe, in Spain and in Malaga. I am not against today's society. Absolutely!

In fact, I'm not against anything...

I am in favor of work on the roots that generate the unpleasant fruits that nobody wants. The disease, the murders, the abuse of power, this absurd and painful way of living, and all the other challenges that our civilization faces, which are not few.

I am in favor that, from the individual conscience, from our responsibility as human beings, we create a society whose base is love, wisdom and freedom. And that, in addition, we take advantage of all the advantages that the moment and the current society offer us and offer us. (from the book "The Madness of Being Sane").
