Learn to subtract by carrying
We continue with the subtraction videos. In the previous videos I explained how to do subtractions without carrying different figures. In this video, it is the turn of the you subtract carrying.
In this video I will explain how subtract carrying with two- or three-digit numbers. The subtraction with carried are those in which at some point any of the figures corresponding to the minuend (number above) is less than the figure just below in the subtrahend. When this happens, subtraction cannot be done normally because a number cannot be removed larger to a smaller one, what we will do is borrow from the figure on the left a number. As you pass the figure from left to right, it will become 10. Then the figure on the left will have one less number since one has been taken away to give it to the figure on the right. This procedure, which when explained in writing, seems so complicated, when watching the video it will be understood very easily.
In addition, I have prepared some printable exercises with their solutions
so that you can practice everything learned in the video from home with you subtract carrying very similar. I hope they are useful to you!
