Psychologist Maria Nigorra Matas

Hello! I am María, General Health Psychologist. She graduated from the European University of the Atlantic in Santander and qualified with a master's degree in General Health Psychology at the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid. Having the opportunity to study at universities with different currents has enriched me on a personal and professional since I have acquired knowledge both from a cognitive-behavioral approach and another approach humanistic-gestalt. This training in different fields has given me the opportunity to work in an integrative approach and thus be able to adapt the type of therapy for each patient and make it more personalized, applying the current that best suits her needs. My work focuses on providing greater well-being in patients by providing the tools and the appropriate psychoeducation for each case. In this way, the patient is given resources and strategies to minimize discomfort and enhance their protective factors. I like to be in constant training to be able to cover different types of profiles and offer different techniques. I work with all kinds of general health psychology (anxiety, stress, depression, grief, self-esteem, etc.).
